How CVLS uses your information
CVLS courses for invited learners. Last updated October 29, 2026.
What we keep
- Your email address, to sign you in and to check you are on a program's invitation list, and your name if you give it.
- Your course work: which lessons you open, where you stopped, your answers (the first answer to each question), your scores and completions, and how sure you said you were.
- What you send us: questions to the AI tutor, challenges to a lesson or question, and requests for more material.
Do not enter information about any patient anywhere on this site.
Why
To run the course: let you pick up where you left off, show your progress, answer your challenges, and let faculty see which questions and lessons need improving. We do not sell your information, show advertising, or use tracking cookies. The site sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in.
Who sees it
- You see your own work.
- CVLS faculty and staff who run your program see their learners' work.
- Services that run the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Resend (sending sign-in and reply emails) and, only when you use the AI tutor, Anthropic (the tutor's answers are written by its Claude model from your question and the lesson). They use it only to provide that service.
How long we keep it
- Your course work: for as long as your program runs, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- AI tutor questions: one year.
- Sign-in links: one day. Nightly backup copies: 30 days.
